Helping Dreams Come True

Nancy Sharp

Nancy Sharp '73 has left a gift to TCNJ Foundation in her will to help future art education majors fulfill their dreams.

Nancy Sharp always dreamed of going to college. With a commitment to her studies, a student loan and a commercial art job, she was able to enroll at her number one choice: Trenton State College!

Always being conscious of her spending, especially during her weekly Saturday night splurge at the Olden Avenue Dunkin Donuts, Nancy was amazed when a surprise scholarship was created to help lighten her load. She will never forget Kathryn Carrigan, who established that instrumental fund during her college years.

Later, Nancy's lifelong dream of being an exchange student came true when a partial scholarship brought down the price of a semester abroad to the same as one in Ewing.

At Trenton State College, Nancy found learning, friendship, support, independence and the cherished memories of a magical time in Denmark. Her middle school principal later told her that her study abroad experience was a big factor when he hired her.

Trenton State College started Nancy on the path to a great life and now she wants to help somebody do the same.
