Honoring an Aunt and Receiving Income

Florence Ann Roberts and Robert Dreyfus

Florence Ann Roberts and Robert Dreyfus

Hazel Danley Bokey graduated from the State Normal School at Trenton in 1933. She accomplished a lifelong goal of becoming a teacher, working in the Pemberton and Bordentown school districts.

She was also Florence Ann Roberts' favorite aunt.

Wanting to honor Hazel for the impact she had in her life, Florence Ann created the Hazel Danley Bokey Scholarship Endowment Fund to provide scholarship assistance to deserving future education majors who attended either Bordentown or Pemberton high schools.

Along with her husband, Robert Dreyfus, Florence Ann established charitable gift annuities with TCNJ Foundation to supplement the endowment. These annuities provide Florence Ann and Robert with a dependable lifetime income, while also increasing the growth of the scholarship fund.

Charitable gift annuities provide a donor with potential charitable deductions and a steady stream of income, some of which are tax-free. When it ends, the remainder of the annuity benefits a program at TCNJ.

If you are interested in creating a charitable gift annuity with TCNJ Foundation, please contact Jim Spencer, CAP® at 609-771-3285 or jspencer@tcnj.edu.
